Below is some info that you might find helpful when attempting to determine the size of SUBMARINER bezel inserts - especially if it doesn't fit properly.
I have several 16610 bezel inserts as well as several inserts for the 1680/5513 models. My observation while utilizing my digital dial calipers for measurements follows:
ACRYLIC CRYSTAL MODELS
New, NOS insert 1680/5513 insert - OD:36.50mm, ID: 30.29
Used insert 1680/5513 - OD: 36.40mm up to 36.45mm*, ID: 30.29mm
* The diameter of used inserts will vary will vary due to age, stretch, compression and overall use.
SAPPHIRE CRYSTAL MODELS
Used sapphire crystal 16800/16610 insert - OD:37.50mm-37.60mm** ID:30.60mm
New sapphire crystal 16800/16610 insert: OD: 37.70mm ID:30.60

There are also some charts on the internet at various web sites that contain bezel insert measurements that vary somewhat from the measurements I listed above. Several factors can play into the discrepancies, but the measurements should be close. As an example, one chart that I use lists the following bezel insert dimensions for the Submariner acrylic crystal models 1680/5513: OD - 36.55mm ID- 30.3mm
