Hello everyone and welcome to the forum and my latest post and photo thread regarding my acquisition of a classic Daytona from 1998 with the Zenith movement. I recently purchased this fine example after it had passed through the hands of two very close and personal friends and was thrilled to have acquired this great example of Rolex Daytona history.

The watch came as a complete set and is in outstanding condition. There is no history of the watch having ever been serviced. It wears the original, documented, white tritium dial and besides having the original bracelet, it had a 78360 Daytona bracelet added to the watch by the last owner which it still wears.

While not having the "inverted 6" sub-dial found on some of the earlier Zenith Daytona models, it is from the last year of production for the tritium dials before Rolex switched to the luminova dials with the "A" serial numbered models.

This example was originally sold by the authorized dealer during April 1999 after being shipped to this dealer on 3/31/99, with the shipping date documented by the red letter code LLRCC which is stamped on the backside of the warranty paper.

Again, I am thrilled to have acquired this fine example and look forward to some spirited wrist time in the years ahead. Enjoy the photos and have a great day out there in the vintage world of Rolex.
