GMT 1675, service dials, three variations

Below are three variations of the GMT 1675 service dials. All three dials look basically the same in appearance. Prior to these service dials, I believe that Mark V, Mark VI and possibly Mark IV dials were used as service dials for the matte GMT 1675s from around 1966 until the end of production in ...

Mark 0, matte finish, white lettered dial

Here is a photo of a very rare Sea Dweller Mark 0 dial, as it is referred. They were found on the early, white-lettered Sea Dwellers during the later part of the 1970s.

GMT 1675, early 1970s, Mark 2 (a)

Here is an interesting GMT 1675 dial which appeared fairly recently and is referred to as the Mark 2(a) dial due to a similarities in appearance to the Mark II dial. This is also an early 1970s dial appearing around the same period as the Mark II dial.

GMT 1675, 1970s, Mark III, radial dial only

GMT 1675, 1970s, radial dial. What makes this dial unique is the smaller hour markers than found on the other GMT dials and the placement of the markers further away from the white hash markers surrounding the dial.

GMT 1675, 57XXXXX, circa 1978, Mark 5, and Mark 5a

GMT 1675, 57XXXXX, circa 1978, Mark V with original insert. I've also included photos of the Mark 5 and the Mark 5a together for comparison purposes. There are subtle differences - to include the coronets and some of the spacing between the letters on the dials. Both the Mark 5 and Mark 5a are late ...

GMT 1675, 50XXXXX, Mark IV dial, circa 1976

The first photo with Mark IV printed at to the bottom is from a 1974 4.2XXXXX GMT 1675 . The second photo of the complete watch head wears a Mark IV dial, serial number 50XXXXX, circa 1976/77 with the original insert. A quick way to identify the Mark IV dials from the other non service matte dials i...
